Prize Draw App Contest

Write a prize draw application using Java technology for your chance to win an iPod Touch!Use any Java technology to develop your app - be it JRuby, Jython, JavaFX or plain old Java. Requirements:

  • Graphical User Interface
  • Draw multiple tickets at once. e.g. If there are six prizes it needs to come up with six winning tickets in rank order in one go.
  • Allow entry of ticket ranges and colours for draw. This must be quick and easy.
  • Use sound appropriately.
  • Must run on the JVM, no native code.
  • Be cooler than the JavaFX Winner wheel (you can use it as a starting point if you like - but there is no requirement to make you app a wheel).

Entries to be submitted to Andrew Zahra by the 11th of February.

Winner will be announced at the first meeting of 2009. This is currently planned for Wednesday 4th March 2009, but check the web site for updates.

You must attend this meeting to be eligible to win.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
