Google AppEngine for Java
From October our meetings will be moving to Tuesdays. The topic for this meeting on Tuesday 13th October, 6-8pm will be “Google AppEngine for Java”. Our presenter will be Gianni Mariani from Google. The meeting will be in the Computer Science Tea Room 3.224.
Pizza will be served from 6-6.30pm. It would be very helpful if you could RSVP to Andrew Zahra by Monday 12th October so we can get the catering right.
Google AppEngine allows you to run your web application on Google’s distributed infrastructure. When AppEngine was first released it was Python only. But now AppEngine is available for Java.
This release includes the Java runtime, integration with Google Web Toolkit, and a Google Plugin for Eclipse, giving you an end-to-end Java solution for AJAX web applications
